Privacy Policy

We only ask for what we need to provide the seva you request.

• Room booking: the contact person's name, WhatsApp number, email (optional), city or address (optional) and notes. For every guest staying: name, age, gender and a copy (photo or PDF) of their Aadhaar card. We check the Aadhaar number you type and store only its last 4 digits; the uploaded copy itself naturally shows the full card.
• Pushtimarg Library: your name, WhatsApp number, alternate number (optional), email (optional), the full delivery address with landmark, city, state and pincode, and notes.
• Vraj Darshan seva: the date and occasion of your function, your name, WhatsApp number, alternate number (optional), email (optional), the address of the function and notes.
• Messages on WhatsApp: if you write to our WhatsApp number, we receive your WhatsApp name, number and message.
• Technical information: a cookie that remembers your language (English or Gujarati), and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to stop misuse. We do not use advertising or tracking tools.

• To provide the seva: confirm and manage room bookings, courier library books and call you about Vraj Darshan.
• To send you messages about your request on WhatsApp or email, such as a booking confirmation or cancellation, and to reply when you message us (including an automatic reply with details of our sevas).
• Aadhaar copies are used only to verify the identity of the guests staying in our rooms. They are not used for any other purpose.
• To keep a record of the seva provided and to prevent misuse of the website.

We do not send advertising or marketing messages.

We never sell or rent your information. It is shared only where needed to provide the seva:

• Service providers that run this website for us: cloud hosting and database services, Cloudinary (secure file storage for uploaded documents), Meta (the WhatsApp Business Platform, for messages) and our email provider. They may store data on servers outside India.
• The courier company, which receives the name, address and phone number needed to deliver a library book.
• Government authorities, only when the law requires it.

• Aadhaar copies are stored privately. They are never public on the website; only authorised members of our team can open them, through a secure link that expires after 5 minutes.
• The admin panel is protected by a password, and access is limited to our team.
• Only the last 4 digits of the Aadhaar number are saved as text.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.

• An Aadhaar copy uploaded on the booking form but not used for a booking (for example, if the form is left halfway) is deleted automatically within a day.
• Booking, library and Vraj Darshan records, including the Aadhaar copies of a booking, are kept for as long as they are needed for the seva and our records. You can ask us to delete them at any time (see section 6).

In line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may withdraw your consent. If you do not wish to receive WhatsApp messages from us, just tell us on WhatsApp.

Details of children travelling with a family are entered by the contact person, who confirms that they are the child's parent or guardian or have the guardian's consent.

We use one cookie, hk_locale, to remember the language you chose. It is kept for one year. Members of our team who log in to the admin panel have their login saved in their own browser. We use no other cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
